The COPLATE®️ is the first and the best rocker plate for indoor bicycle trainers.
Designed in 2013, produced and sold by BIKEACCES. Your trainer is mounted securely on the top plate. The top and bottom plate are made of very strong HPL solid plastic compact plate of 8 mm thick, moisture-, sweat-, and water resistant, so the best material for this application.The top plate is on two sides suspended by two air suspensions and connected to the bottom plate by two rocking rubbers. The best solution for rocking because partly due to the rocking rubbers, the top plate will automatically return to the horizontal position in case of no rocker action, even at a pressure of zero bar in the air suspensions. A big advantage compared to rocker plates who are equipped with a central shaft with ball bearings. In this kind of applications ball bearings are not necessary. The whole makes a natural lateral motion possible and increasing the realistic bike motion. The COPLATE®️ saves your frame and bicycle trainers due to the enormous flattening of the dynamic forces on your frame which typically come from bicycle trainers.
The rocker plate saves your frame and cycle trainer by enormous smoothing of the dynamic stress/forces.
Bicycle brands like BMC (read more), CUBE (read more) and SENSA (read more) are writing on their website that carbon frames are not suitable for bicycle trainers because of the forces on the rear dropouts.
